July 28, 2011, Oak Grove, VA – Forwarding their mission of providing a higher level of member services, the Southern Nursery Association (SNA) has announced the launch of their new website (http://www.sna.org).

After months of work, this completely revamped site is a must for buyers and sellers of horticulture-related products in the southeast. The new design was streamlined with a fresh new look and a wealth of resources featuring significantly improved navigation and usability as well as content.

The new site features a customizable member and product search that allows users to locate people, companies and products with just a few keystrokes, streamlined access to more than 10,000 pages of horticultural research white papers, upcoming regional and national events, event registration, and more. A "Members Only" area offers SNA members an interactive community through sixteen various forums and access to information about exclusive member discounts.

Through an integrated membership database, new member listings are active and searchable the moment they join. Members can log in and update their company information at any time. Automated renewal notices will direct members to the website where they can renew and pay online through a secure credit card payment system.

In addition, an email blast system and blogging module will provide an easy method of interaction and communication with members about upcoming events and important industry news.

"We want our site to be the go-to source for locating horticultural products in the southeast region through our electronic marketplace, as well as a comprehensive resource for regional news and information," stated Karen Summers, Interim Executive Vice President. "I'm excited about the new features of the site and what it will mean to the future of our association - and the industry."

Future plans for the new SNA website include an online newsletter, advertising opportunities for members and a job board.

The launch of this new website should signal to its members that the Southern Nursery Association is actively taking steps to become more relevant to its members with through improving its functionality and focusing on issues that cross state lines and impact the region.

Established in 1899, the Southern Nursery Association is a non-profit, professional trade association representing the horticultural industry in the southeastern U.S. SNA provides member services to wholesale growers, brokers, retailers, landscape contractors, landscape architects, grounds maintenance contractors, interiorscapers and allied suppliers.
