Is Your Business Prepared for a Disaster?

Fires, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes and even earthquakes can have a devastating impact on your business – and our personal lives. Although we can prepare for some natural disasters such as floods and hurricanes, we are still always left with the aftermath and you may need to survive on your own after such an emergency.

Make sure you and your business can better handle a weather-related emergency by planning in advance.
Following are three of the most important steps you can take:

  1.  Be Informed
  2.  Have an Emergency Supply Kit
  3.  Have a Written Emergency Plan

SNA has established the SNA Industry Disaster Preparedness Program to encourage our industry member firms to better prepare for times of emergencies. This program includes education materials or events, electronic communication systems, as well as a list of equipment (COMING SOON) available from other industry members such as power generators, satellite phones, labor, supplies, and other products and services needed during these times.

The SNA Disaster Preparedness Program Forum also provides a line of communication to post general comments or information relating to current conditions, needs and available assistance. We are very fortunate to be involved in a very caring and giving industry - an industry that reaches out to even their competitors. This Forum helps facilitate that spirit.
